Create a new Burpee contest

The Burpee!

We hate the Burpee. We love the Burpee. We keep doing the Burpee. We are not right in the head.

The Burpee is a staple exercise here at Kemme Fitness, which is pretty common among Functional Fitness programs. We have a few to chose from already. I have a list of theΒ 5 below.

Burpee

Core Burpee

Tuck Burpee

Burpee Pull-up

Slosh Tube Burpee

I have seen several other Burpees, but do not have rights to use them here at Kemme Fitness, so our list is small. I decided it was time to add some more to Kemme Fitness. And what better way than to have a contest. The winner(s) of the Burpee contest will win a free copy of Witness Tampering, an intensely plot driven mystery fiction ebook. Click here to learn more about the book.

Also, I will design a new workout (for starters) incorporating the new Burpee. The first workout will be named after the winner of the contest (example name could be “John Doe’s New Burpee workout”). You will be immortalized as a part of Kemme Fitness for all eternity. I know, goose bumps right!

THE RULES:

Design a new way to do a Burpee, but in order for it to be a Burpee it has to have a few standard components. You must start in the standing position, have your chest touch the ground (or near the ground) at some point, end up standing again with a form of a jump at the end.

You can make the Burpee a bodyweight only exercise as the original, or incorporate a piece of equipment such as is done with the Slosh Tube Burpee.

You have to be willing to share this idea with everybody on Kemme Fitness and allow the new Burpee to be part of this program to be used by me as I see fit for all eternity <insert evil laugh here>

Once you design your new Burpee, you can either film it, or just describe it, or draw a stick figure doing it, or whatever.Β  Then simply email me at kemmestudios@altelco.net to submit your entry. The winner(s) will be chosen after field testing the new Burpee, and then posted here on Kemme Fitness.

Harvey may like this one… a sit out burpee. Drop down to push up position, swing legs 360 degrees, do push up, stand up and jump.

You know Seth … we just did your Crazy Eights wod. I believe my comment to Pete on that particular wod was tell Seth that if I see him, I’m going to “punch him in the face.” πŸ™‚ It was good wod.

That burpee idea is a great one. Keep it to yourself. Burpees are hard enough dang it!!!

    I just tried a no-handed burpee…..now my face hurts.

Rub some dirt on your face, it’ll be fine. Wait till the pain subsides & try it again. Don’t accept failure in your life. Remember: if at first you don’t succeed, try try again.

I think you’re onto something big here Harvey. Once you’ve perfected the no-handed burpee, I’m sure we’ll all be doing it.
