So which piece of homemade equipment are you going to make first?

I am seeing more and more people realizing the benefit of saving money on expensive gym memberships and areΒ doing their Functional Fitness workouts at home. But what if you have little money for equipment? Hopefully by now you have seen The Low Cost Gym.

No?

Well just look over to your right and click on it for your free version. Yes, FREE. It explained how to make each piece of equipment from a Slosh Tube to a Clubbell to a homemade Medicine Ball, and more. The most expensive piece of equipment in there costs about $15 to make (the Slosh Tube)

You don’t know what a Slosh Tube is?

Here is where I would normally put some nice links to show you. But you know what, just down load The Low Cost Gym (it won’t take long as the PDF file is not a large file). Check them all out and decide for yourself.

The trip to Home Depot with your family when you come out with a 10 foot long piece of 3″ or 5″ PVC is an experience they will remember. Or the look on your 8 year daughter’s face when she realizes that you stole her fat plastic bat and filled it with cement for yet another homemade Clubbell.Β  Priceless!

And let us know. What piece did you choose to make first?

How do you like it?

What did you name it? Remember, you get to name all your homemade equipment!

Just leave a comment on this post so we can all hear about your experience and thoughts. I think people are going a little more towards the Slosh Tube, but I bet the Maple Groove Barefoot Guy has already plotted to steal his kid’s plastic bat!

That is hilarious! Don’t let her see it after it is filled with cement (or have a spare ready to replace) would be my only advice πŸ™‚

I made parallettes, because I wanted to do dips, and I figured it would be a quick and easy project on a day I had a few extra minutes. They are named Hanz and Franz.

So far, they work great. I’m thinking of shortening the cross pieces to make them flex a bit less when I’m using them.

    A slosh tube is next.

I put a sledge hammer & used tire on my list to Santa. Fingers crossed!! I also put one of those big massive ropes that you see many people using – Santa’s helper informed me though that those are not found at the local Lowes. πŸ™

You know she’s got a point Pete – you only have 9 1/2 fingers. It never gets old bringing that up! πŸ™‚

I should probably mention that Bridal Elegance is actually Lawrence from home. Didn’t notice that until after the post!!!! πŸ™‚ πŸ™‚
