videos for jump exercises

I had received a great comment a while back on a post about how the video for the Squat Jump had poor form. I reviewed the video and realized that it did in fact suck.

See, when I first set up this site less than a year ago, I scrambled to find videos to link to all the exercises I used in my workout program. Since I had to video tape (sorry, for you young folks, I meant to say digitally record) myself doing the exercises if I couldn’t find a video, I tried hard to find somebody else doing it close enough.

Yes I wish that all the videos were done by me so I can be sure that I am showing a video with proper form, but I have to admit it is easier just to search Youtube.

Well that Squat Jump video was so poor…believe it or not a bodyweight movement can be done so pathetically that I just couldn’t keep it.

So here is the link to Squat Jumps with a back that is not rounded. Sorry for the months of a crappy video link.

    Hey Pete
I like the new videos. The music makes me want to work out 🙂
I always thought it’s a no-no to drop the knees in front of one’s toes when squating – do you know why it’s ok with the hindu squats?

Actually it is only ok if you have no knee problems. Personally, I always do Air Squats in place of Hindu Squats, whereas Lawrence Boivin is a huge fan of Hindu Squats. He likes the different muscles it works. The only reason I allow it in my program is because it is bodyweight only. I’m glad you brought up that point because it is an important one.

PLEASE DO HINDU SQUATS (AND KANGAROO JUMPS) CAREFULLY. LISTEN TO YOUR BODY, ESPECIALLY FOR ANY PAIN IN YOUR KNEES.
