Burpee Challenge for beginners

Functional Fitness workout
Needed: Pull-up bar.  Or substitute other exercises in from our Exercise Page
 
Circuit #1
5 Burpees
5 Pull-ups
5 Tuck Burpees
5 Squat Jumps
5 Core Burpees
5 Chin-ups
5 Burpees
5 Push-ups
5 Core Burpees
X 4  (rest as much as you need between rounds)
 
 
Total Burpee count = 100

  3. Whoa. I decided to do this one because I needed some crazy cross training for the Spartan Race this next weekend.

    37 mins, 381 calories later, I’m a heaping mess of quivering jello. HR max was 163, HR avg 130. I rested at the end of each until my HR dropped to the low end of zone 1. I exchanged the Super Burpees with Star Burpees (look for BodyRock.tv Zuzana doing them on YouTube) because I didn’t have a box or a chair available.
