The release of K-Basic, a program to help develop the core of those new to exercise

April 20, 2012

K-Basic is in direct response to folks asking me for something they can do to start out.  When the original introductory 12 week program, K-Fit, is just too much. Maybe you haven’t exercised in a while or are overweight and want to start slow. If so, then K-Basic is designed for you.

K-Basic has another benefit, which is that the only piece of exercise equipment you need for the entire 12 weeks is a Physioball (also known as a Swiss ball or stability ball).  Your local Walmart or similar store should have one cheap.  They usually come in three sizes and you should  sit on the ball with your feet on the floor and your thighs parallel to the ground in order determine which size is best for you.

Sounds like this definitely has potential! You can do a ton with body-weight exercise, and I like that you actually told people how to determine what size of Physioball they need.

Thanks. Those who went through it seemed to like it. Basically people I knew weren’t up for K-Fit and asked if I could make them workouts, so I designed a bunch for them. When I was done, I simply put it all together into a program for others to try out. As long as your weight can be supported by a physioball, you can trudge along with this program (it may take a bit of tweeking depending on how overweight or out of shape you are).
